A man has been jailed for stealing a livestock trailer worth more than £1,000 from a farm track in Northumberland.

Jamie Cliff, of Melrose Drive, West Auckland, County Durham, has been sentenced to a year in prison following an investigation into the theft by the Northumbria Police Rural Crime Team. The trailer, valued at £1,200, was believed to have been stolen sometime overnight on Tuesday, February 14, into Wednesday, February 15 2023, from a farm in Rothbury.
