Wales - North Wales Police

Police have arrested three people following a spate of burglaries in rural communities in Gwynedd. North Wales Police executed a number of warrants this week following reports of high value agricultural machinery and quad bikes thefts last November.

NWP’s Serious Organised Crime Unit and the Rural Crime Team worked alongside Dyfed Powys Police and West Mercia Police as part of Operation Calafat. The arrests followed an investigation into the thefts targeting rural areas such as Tywyn, Dolgellau and Bala.

Four properties in the Shropshire and West Midlands areas were targeted by police where a number of items were seized. Three people have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary.
