Two burglaries have taken place in Crosthwaite at business premises on 31 January and 15 February.
In both cases, high-value machinery and tools were taken.
Local PCSO Jayne Park and Special Constable Caroline Powney are in the process of setting up a WhatsApp farmers group linked to a police radio, subject to vetting.
This will enable messages to be sent quickly and effectively to the local farmers and shared with the police.
