Thames Valley Police

Police have rallied together and been pulling over vehicles suspected of being involved in pony and trap racing after receiving intelligence that the disruptive practice would be returning today.

Drivers and local residents have been complaining about pony and trap racing on the A413 in and around Chalfont St Peter and Gerrards Cross for years, although the incidents have reportedly been becoming more frequent.

Fed-up locals have urged police to take action after the racing, which involves dozens of vehicles, horses and people, started causing chaos on the busy A-road and holding up traffic.

But those who have been left frustrated by the practice will be happy to hear that Thames Valley Police have been out today pulling over vehicles and drivers they suspect of being involved after they received information that the racing would be happening again today.
