Verdict in trial of alleged rape in Church Street car park, Falmouth

A foreign farm worker accused of raping a woman in Falmouth has been cleared at Truro Crown Court following a third trial.

Davlatsho Davlatshoev had been appearing before Truro Crown Court all week, where he pleaded not guilty to raping a young woman on December 5 last year in the Church Street car park.

This was the third trial of the case, after juries at an earlier two trials were discharged when they both failed to reach a verdict. But today the jury took less than an hour to find Davlatshoev not guilty.
