Villagers have expressed their surprise at the death of a woman in suspicious circumstances.
A man has been arrested after the woman was found dead at a house in Colston Bassett village, near the Leicestershire-Nottinghamshire border.
Police cordoned off Hall Lane in the village, north of Melton, shortly before 6.30pm on Saturday, February 26, where they found a woman dead inside a house.
A 48-year-old man was arrested in connection with the investigation on Sunday morning as detectives investigate the death.
