Rescue services sprang to the alert to help a stricken walker down from a landmark location in the North York Moors.

The North East Ambulance Service contacted Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) shortly before 1.30pm on Saturday after receiving a report that a woman had sustained a lower leg injury having slipped while walking at Roseberry Topping, near Great Ayton.

The team deployed both rescue vehicles and team members made their way to a nearby farm before heading to the spot where the casualty had fallen.
