When police arrested Green, they found handcuffs and a baseball bat in his vehicle

A woman was left ‘shaken’ after a ‘fake cop’ fitted blue lights to his car and stopped her in a quiet countryside lane in rural Wiltshire.

Chris Green, a security guard who owns a firm called Brotherhood Protection, pleaded guilty to impersonating a police officer when he appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday).

Prosecutor Keith Ballinger said the 31-year-old was driving at about 30mph in a 60mph zone when a woman driver, who was “feeling uneasy” about his speed, decided to overtake him.

The defendant sounded his horn and turned on his blue lights before overtaking her. He then signalled that she pulls into Longsplatt, a quiet country lane in Box, near Corsham.
