Margaret Donlon says she would have been killed if it wasn't for her husband fighting off the animals
A woman attacked by 'frenzied cows' says she would have been killed if it wasn't for her husband. Margaret Donlon was having a quiet country walk on a public footpath when the cows set upon her.
She suffered a string of injuries including broken ribs and damage to her liver and lung in the attack. She even had one bruise in the shape of a hoof after being repeatedly kicked by the animals.
Unable to get away from the crazed animals she says it was only when her husband managed to beat them off that she escaped. Despite suffering injuries himself he was able to lead her to safety, reports the Mirror.
She was airlifted to hospital following the attack where she was treated for six broken ribs. she also had a torn liver and collapsed lung as a result of the onslaught
Now the couple are warning people about the dangers, just days after the death of a dairy farmer. Margaret said: “They would have killed me, I know they would have killed me, if he had had not been there.”
