A youth has been 'dealt with' by police for damaging an historic gravestone in an Oxfordshire village over the weekend.

The incident occurred at St Mary's church in Adderbury near Banbury.

The damage has been dealt with by means of a community resolution and the youth is now completing some voluntary work for the church, Thames Valley Police has confirmed.
