Derbyshire Rural Crime Team officers have rescued three horses in poor condition from wasteland near Matlock.

Countryside Alliance and local hunts campaigned against a ban proposed by a group called Action Against Foxhunting.

Warwickshire Police said today (Thursday) that they are investigating the matter and want witnesses to come forward.

POLICE have launched an appeal for information after a horse was allegedly stolen from a farm and returned to its owner with injuries.

Horses have been stabbed in what is believed to have been a horrific bid to kill them. The horses were in a paddock and found covered in blood with deep wounds.
