A man from Oxfordshire who was filmed on a mobile phone punching a chicken in the head, has been fined.

Two dogs have been seized by the authorities after several sheep were attacked by the animals in south Buckinghamshire.

Dyfed-Powys Police (DPP) said they had been called to four incidents including livestock theft and dog attacks in 2 weeks

A dog who was stolen from his kennel has now been reunited with his owner.

Dog walkers are being urged to put their pets on leads when out in the countryside during the summer holidays, as farmers are warned of a 'heightened risk' of attacks.

PC Christopher Holmes of the Rural Crime Unit said there had been a number of anecdotal reports of livestock worrying.

The bodies of the sheep were taken and the heads were left in the field.
