A number of sheep have been killed in a “sickening” dog attack in rural Carmarthenshire which left onlookers horrified.

A large number of cows have been mysteriously stolen from a field in Carmarthenshire, leaving police with no leads as to where they ended up or how they were taken. A total of 26 Fresian cows were taken from a field in the Golden Grove area - between Llanarthne and Llandeilo east of Carmarthen.

A couple who have had tens of thousands of pounds of equipment stolen from their farm say more needs to be done to tackle rural crime.

ALMOST 100 animals have been seized from a Pembrokeshire farm due to concerns over animal welfare, and a man has been arrested.

Police are asking for the public’s help to track down a red quad bike that was stolen last night from a farm near Presteigne.

Patrols have included officers from North Wales, West Mercia and Cheshire.
