A MAN accused of hunting a wild fox with a dog has appeared in court today.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Cologne Road in Bovington on Monday evening after reports that a man had been 'found with injuries'. He was later taken to Dorset County Hospital.

Dorset Police's Rural Crime Team and Neighbourhood Patrol carried out a reinforced stop of the vehicle by the A350 turn off for Shaftesbury and Poole.

The incident, which happened at 8pm on Friday, May 27, saw a group of teenagers reportedly taking an orange defibrillator from the car park of the school

A spokeswoman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: "We were called to Creech Heath at 11.58am this morning to assist the ambulance service with moving a casualty for transportation to hospital after they were bitten by a snake. One crew from Wareham attended to provide manpower, and the stop was at 12.24pm."

THE owner of a litter of puppies stolen from a Bournemouth home has issued an emotional plea for their safe return.

Police from both Hampshire and Dorset forces dealt with the uninsured Honda CRV found in Somerford. The vehicle was suspected to have been seen at a rural crime hotspot.

The vehicle was recently seen in suspicious circumstances in a hotspot area for rural crime.

The idea was to see how the service operated for six months before making a decision about the longer term – but now councillors are being told that the six month assessment has not been enough and the trial period should continue until November this year.

Fire crews rushed to the nature reserve on Saturday evening to tackle a blaze following scores of 999 calls from members of the public.

The theft took place on a remote farm between Piddletrenthide and Plush sometime between March 31 and May 10.
