A suspected fire-starting device has been reported to the police after being discovered in the tinder-dry hills of North Wales. The large kindling-filled jar was found on the Panorama walk above Llangollen, Denbighshire.

"At this time the fire is being treated as suspicious and inquiries are in hand with officers from the Rural Crime Team. If anyone has any information that might help please get in touch with North Wales Police.

North Wales Police are urging farms to take steps to prevent vehicles and equipment from being stolen after a quadbike was taken from a Denbighshire farm on Friday, august 5.
