A dog owner whose pet was caught worrying sheep has been fined £100.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of the theft of a New Holland tractor in the Thames Valley.

A cricket club are crowdfunding to replace a tractor that was stolen at New Year which may threaten the club's ability to start the new cricket season.

The vehicle was stolen between December 30 and 31 in Kirtlington.

Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a boy has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to an arson, which caused around £1m-worth of damage to a farm in Eynsham, Oxfordshire.

Investigating officer PC Colin Boyes, from the Thames Valley Police Rural Crime Taskforce, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed or knows anything about this incident to please come forward.

The force's rural crime taskforce said the ivory teeth were worth about £18,350.

Farm owner Karine Giannamore said that this is not the first time that the farm has been broken into, with two prior break-ins occurring earlier in the year.

Thames Valley Police rural crime taskforce attended a series of rural incidents which occurred overnight on Wednesday (21/9) in Steventon and Wantage.

Officers from the TVP Rural Crime Taskforce have completed training to help deal with offences against wildlife.

Sgt Robert Maris of Thames Valley Police's Rural Crime Team said: "[It was] swift work from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service to put out this field fire that could easily have spread to neighbouring areas."

The Thames Valley Police rural crime taskforce is equipped with a fleet of drones to assist with capturing evidence and locating suspects around the county.
