An appeal has now been issued by Dorset Police in an attempt to reunite the bikes with their owners.

A fire broke out in a barn on a farm near Blandford Forum on Staurday night (April 15).

POLICE seized a stolen van allegedly used to help commit a Dorset burglary in what was a busy shift for the force's rural crime team.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police’s rural crime team said: “This incident has deeply upset workers and volunteers at Swanage Railway Station who work extremely hard to maintain these carriages which bring so much joy to the public.

It is believed the lamb had its ear tag ripped out and was dumped in a random field so it could not be traced back to the farmer.

Almost every allotment shed was targeted with a large number of tools and machinery stolen, in particular many small hand tools.
